Eye & Head Blind
In proving, once gain, just how erred we are in our naked eye, perceptions, I, of course, had an experience revealing just how the naked eye, keeps us blind. One morning I placed bird seed on a white plate, for the birds to enjoy and set it outside my hotel room. A little later, I went out to watch the birds, and noticed the plate was gone. Assuming staff likely threw it away, I was irked, thinking, damn, they even take enjoyment from little birds!
This sat on my mind and heart, for probably, an hour. When I went out later, there laid the plate with bird seed, and the birds were happily, enjoying it. I smacked myself, when I realized what happened. It had snowed that day, and the snow had covered the white plate, only to reappear when the snow melted. So, all that ill-perceived, sludge, I pumped through my brain, was useless. Truth was not what my eyes saw, and it is not what I perceived.
Truth, especially divine truth, can only be “revealed and received,” through, the divine Mystery.
